Verdict

This is a cracking race for fancied horses and 10 clear favourites have won since 1990. Dermot Weld has won an incredible 11 of those running but all the big yards have good records. Kevin Manning will have the enviable task of steering Hasty Katie here. Jim Bolger's filly looked extremely reluctant when outbattled by Sherwood Forest at Leopardstown and though the shorter trip may aid her cause she is difficult to side with after that display. Ballydoyle are triple-handed and with Johnny Murtagh unavailable it looks like WHY could be the one to be on. The Galileo filly out of the Moyglare/ Marcel Boussac winner Rumplestiltskin made a very pleasing debut when staying on nicely behind stablemate Misty For Me at the Curragh and the extra furlong is very much in her favour. Stablemate Luxurious is another daughter of Galileo and out of a mare who won over 6f as a juvenile. She should have the pace for this while the Weld yard run Zaminast, who is definitely one to keep on the right side as she is closely related to several winners including the stable's high-class Famous Name.
