Dermot Weld has won the last two but it isn't a race to get excited over as none of last year's competitors have won another race subsequently. Parlour represents the Weld yard on this occasion but the daughter of Dansili may do better when sent over further. Jim Bolger is having problems finding a race for Purple Land, whose lack of a finishing burst keeps finding him out, while Big Bad Billy Bob continues to run with credit without quite managing to get there. PINNK is given a tentative vote here despite an absence since April. David Marnane's filly finished a highly creditable 4l behind Bethrah at Limerick on that occasion and as the winner went on to classic glory in the 1000 Guineas at the Curragh the form could hardly have worked out better.
