In depth

Verdict

This isn't the strongest of bumpers and as ever in these races Willie Mullins is the man to be with and his newcomer JOHNY'S LANTERN arrives here with a strong reputation. A full sister to the brilliant Forpadydeplasterer and two winning pointers, she's also a half-sister to a winning bumper horse and has plenty to live up to. Total Pleasure was just outstayed by Maggie Connolly at Wexford but that was over an extra two furlongs and this looks his trip for now. Fourth In Line wasn't beaten too far behind The Grey Express at Killarney and will improve while The Bishop's Day was off for a very long time before a good run behind Lean Times at Kilbeggan a couple of weeks ago. Crazy Executive made a promising debut over the trip at Fairyhouse but failed to stay when beaten over 2m2f there on his only subsequent start.
