Verdict

The in-form Denis Hogan has a triple chance here with Generator City, who won a Ballinrobe maiden over this trip with a bit in hand, Licklighter, who had been running well over timber before scoring over fences at Wexford on Friday and the trainer-ridden Ozzie's Way, who he rode to victory at Down Royal last month. Castle North made numerous mistakes when well behind Generator City and will need to jump much better here. Happy Lad hadn't shown much over hurdles but was well supported for a Downpatrick maiden a couple of weeks ago and made all so he could be well weighted though the same remark applies to MEGALOMANIAC (NAP). He's been making steady progress and landed a Clonmel handicap over timber in May before making a successful chasing bow at Tramore. He reverts to hurdles on an 11lb lower mark and looks the one to beat. Roi De Dubai found 2m7f too far at Killarney after a comfortable victory at Bellewstown.
