      Verdict

Wunderwood was a comfortable winner over course and distance when last seen and has every chance of following up off a 6lb higher mark but David Elsworth's gelding may struggle to give weight away all round and preference is for Soulacroix with Doctor Scott rated the best of the rest. The selection made a winning return when landing a valuable Lady Riders event at York for which a 6lb rise looks perfectly fair and, as he clearly goes well when fresh, Soulacroix is taken to follow up. Kerashan has disappointed so far this term but the Godolphin yard is in much better form now so there may be more to come, while Michabo should appreciate the drop back in trip having failed to stay in the Ascot Stakes last time. Easy Haydock winner Nobelix has a decent racing weight and James Fanshawe's gelding has to be respected but Soulacroix has plenty going for him and he gets the vote.
