Verdict
Mark Johnston has won three of the last five renewals including with King's Advice last year. The latter had Shailene back in third on that occasion but hasn’t won since while stablemate Themaxwecan won over 2m here last year and the third Johnson runner Hochfeld finished well behind LAAFY (NAP) at Haydock last time. The latter ran well for second in the Old Newton Cup despite a 9lb rise for winning at Newbury earlier and this faster surface will suit Sir Michael Stoute’s charge. Calling The Wind won over today’s trip at Ascot recently with Platitude well beaten while York runner-up Mordred may prove best of the rest upped in trip for this.
