      Verdict

      Fitzwilly has won over the course and distance but is 7lb out of the handicap while last year's winner Kashgar is running poorly and was well beaten at Thirsk on Friday. Rhombus is a soft-ground specialist and had conditions to suit at Nottingham last time for which a 3lb rise isn't excessive. However, GALE FORCE (NAP), who finished third and was staying on strongly over that 1m6f, had been handed an 11lb rise for an easy victory over this trip at Kempton on her previous start so with further progress likely and the distance to suit she can return to winning ways. Shades of Silver has won five of his 15 starts and could hardly be in better form having overcome a 10lb rise for a facile victory at Nottingham to complete a double at Kempton. He's up another 6lb here and this is a better class event.
