Verdict

Pettochside avoids a penalty for his victory on soft ground here on Friday so is an obvious contender though he's never won a handicap at this level. Vincentti has won three times - all on ground with some give including at Brighton last weekend for which he's penalised. Lightning Charlie hasn't had much racing and has the scope to do better after a good run at Bath last week though it's the other three-year-old in the line-up, EXOPLANET BLUE, who could be good enough. Henry Candy's filly made most for a comfortable victory over 7f on Polytrack at Lingfield and was in the lead at this trip before fading close home in a better race at Newmarket later. See The Storm was in excellent form last summer but shot up the weights and ran his best race for some time when dropped to a lowly mark at Haydock last month.
