          Verdict

          Third Time Lucky arrives with a 3lb penalty after scoring at York last week and could probably do with some rain. MASTER THE WORLD won the race a year ago after being beaten a head in 2016 and is well enough handicapped to go in again after being aimed at the race. Escobar has been running really well and would have a fine chance if the ground dries up while Seniority, who won a couple of strong races at Chelmsford, started favourite for the Royal Hunt Cup and wasn't beaten far in eighth. Fire Brigade is a smart handicapper but likes softer ground, a remark that also applies to Repercussion while Cape Byron has so far failed to deliver on his potential though the latter is very lightly-raced and looked like winning the Royal Hunt Cup before fading close home.
