Verdict

Cat On A High enjoyed a successful juvenile campaign, but has struggled somewhat this term and faces a difficult task giving weight away to the older horses. We prefer the chance of course specialist Finished Article, who reserves his best for the Sussex track. He isn't the easiest of rides, but Dane O'Neill knows him well, having won on him twice and with just the ten runners here, he shouldn't have too many traffic problems. Prairie Wolf is another who goes well here and comes into this in good form. He is well treated at his best and must go well. Three times a course winner, Parisian Star knows his way around here. but he is 8lbs higher than his last winning mark and may need a little help before he returns to winning ways. The lightly weighted Monica Geller had gone over two years without winning, until scoring at Windsor last month. She had become well treated (18lbs lower than when last successful), but the Handicapper looks to have over-reacted in putting her up 13lbs. Wannabe Around and Kruggerand look to have plenty to prove at present, so we are quite happy to stay with Finished Article to continue his love affair with the track.
