In depth
Verdict
Girl Warrior and Noora look the pick of the experienced runners but a chance is taken on the debutante Cut Short. Bred in the purple by Diesis out of an Ajdal mare, she is a full sister to high-class two-year-old Daggers Drawn and half-sister to useful six furlong winner Enemy Action. Trained by John Gosden she will know what is required for her debut and looks set to go well. Noora returned to the track at Chester earlier this month with a creditable second to Sydney Star, she will undoubtedly come on for the run and looks each-way banker material. Girl Warrior, who hails from the in form Paul Cole yard, made a very pleasing debut at Newmarket last season when third to Si Si Amiga and could turn into a decent three-year-old. Of the remainder Bonnetts is worth a a second glance in the betting, but on breeding Cut Short looks the part and gets our vote.
