Verdict
A modest fillies event with Concubine, Music Maid and Russian Princess likely to be toward the head of the market. Concubine narrowly gets the vote after just been run out of it at Brighton over a similar trip. That was her best performance of the year and the market had spoken for her on that day. Compensation surely awaits. Russian Princess has sometimes had problems settling in her races. Peter Harris' representative is not without a chance but it is highly significant that her better performances have come in larger rather than smaller fields. Music Maid has been running solidly of late and was not disgraced behind High Finance last time out. More is needed here. Fruit of Glory is watched in the market on account of the jockey booking while Dowhatjen invariably needs a couple of runs before she gets into top gear. A Woman In Love was disappointing last time out at Brighton and is avoided. In conclusion, with plenty of negatives against many, we side with Concubine.
