In depth
Verdict
Battle Chant appears to be improving with each run and is taken to land this valuable prize from Colisay and Privy Seal. Amanda Perrett's gelding got loose at the start of a Group three event last time but still managed to take part and ran a blinder to finish second behind today's rival Alkaadhem. If he behaves himself today he will have a great chance of reversing that form on three pounds better terms. Privy Seal was last of four behind the smart Bago at Longchamp last time, but he wasn't beaten that far and it was a Group one event, this company should be more to his liking. Colisay is stepping up in class after beating Courageous Duke in a class B handicap last time and shouldn't be underestimated. Naheef, a Listed winner at Windsor last time must also be given consideration, but Battle Chant has been knocking on the door recently and deserves to land a decent prize.
