      Verdict

      CLAN ROYALE bumped into what looked a really smart opponent at Ascot and Roger Varian's 200,000gns colt would be unfortunate to run into another here. The extra furlong will also suit and he should go one better. Buhturi hails from last year's winning yard and the full-brother to a 7f Group 2 winner and half-brother to four other winners could be the one for the forecast. Wild Thunder cost E40,000 as a foal and E105,000 as a yearling so must have impressed while Subutai is related to plenty of winners including a 6f Group 3 winner.
