Verdict

Open Wide has been thereabouts since winning at Windsor in June and finished in front of Embour and Sir Maximilian when runner-up over track and trip last time. But he’d prefer faster going and GREEN POWER is taken to reverse running at Windsor having subsequently won over the minimum trip here. This extra distance and soft ground are not a problem for John Gallagher’s charge and he’s also preferred to Show Stealer. The latter beat Open Wide last month and bids for a hat-trick carrying 5lb extra having won in a lower grade at Windsor last time.
