In depth

Verdict

MOHANAD ran well in defeat the other day considering he was easy to back and is fancied to gain the win here at the main expense of Seventh Hill and Galiotto. Sheena West's gelding looked a decent hurdler over the Winter and there is little doubt that he will soon break his duck on the flat. A mark of 62 should be within his grasp and with Ryan Moore booked a big run is expected. Seventh Hill was a game winner at Bath last time when well-backed and this consistent gelding is respected despite a 5lb higher mark, Byblos needs to find plenty for first-time cheek-pieces, whilst Winning Show has been given a break since his Lingfield flop in January. Galiotto is going the right way and he probably faces nothing of Peintre D'Argent's class in this line-up, Sunny Spells needs a market check with Jimmy Fortune booked, whilst Royal Premier looks high enough in the weights. The decent hurdler Red Twist is of interest at the foot of the weights however the prize can go to Mohahad.
