Verdict
A smashing race for this Group 3 event and plenty are in with a shout. Overall, though, we'll plump for Sir Michael Stoute's Russian Dance. She has looked green in her two races to date but got off the mark last time in a four-runner affair at Windsor. This will be tougher but she has plenty of improvement in her and might be up to the task. A big danger is Caldy Dancer. Formerly with Alan Bailey, for whom she won at Chester, she has suggested a return to that promising form with a smashing run when second in an Irish Group 3 event. She holds every chance here. By Distant View and out of the top-class reams Of Verse, Ithaca won impressively on her debut over today's course and distance. As they say, she could be anything and warrants a great deal of respect. Gracefully has won both her races to date in good style and now steps up in class. Overall, the other pair have a bit to find on form. As we say, it's interesting - and tricky - but we'll side with Russian Dance.
