Verdict
Vindication looks well enough handicapped to defy topweight against the likes of Franksalot, Logistical and Aegean Magic. With the James Fanshawe team in form at present, Vindication has a sporting chance of humping 9st 7lb to victory under Frankie Dettori. He was considered unlucky on Lingfield's Polytrack last time, only seeing daylight when the principals had flown, and a look at his earlier form reveals that the son of Compton Place is only a pound higher than when beaten a head by Tora Bora at Leicester in June. Franksalot ran well from a poor draw at Epsom and was quietly fancied. A most consistent sort, he is three pounds better with Aegean Magic for a three length beating at Lingfield in June, and with rising star Lisa Jones in the saddle, can take a hand in proceedings. Logistical ran quite well at Salisbury but needs a slight drop in the handicap, while Second To Go failed to act on loose ground at Yarmouth according to her jockey, and will be expected to do better now. For the winner though we return to Vindication.
