In depth
Verdict
A chance is taken with Splash Out Again in an uninspiring contest, with Mersey Sound, Its Your Bid and Head To Kerry others to consider. Splash Out Again has been hard to place since opening his account over 10 furlongs at Sandown last year, but regained the winning thread at Bath in May. Since then he has been tried with various tactics without success, but he may well benefit from being dropped in behind here, as he can pick off some moderate rivals in the straight off what is still a reasonable mark. Mersey Sound is well treated on his best form but is another who is hard to win with. Its Your Bid has not won in two years but ran a blinder in first time blinkers when touched off by Misternando over the course and distance recently. She does at least have the form to reach the frame. Head To Kerry returns to the scene of his facile victory in August when making all from weak opponents. Beaten twice since, he will no doubt try and dominate again, without being good enough over this longer trip. Bets are best kept to a minimum, but Splash Out Again is the tentative choice.
