Verdict

A chance is taken with Bluegrass Beau to prove his running at Salisbury was all wrong. He was made favourite for that event on the back of a good second to Nahy at Sandown, with previous winner Howle Hill back in third. The firm ground at Salisbury may have been to blame for his poor effort there and with the showers forecast, the ground may not be too bad. He has nothing to fear from Sovereign Dreamer on that run, even though Richard Quinn takes over from an apprentice and a bigger threat could prove to be Maedance, who can be forgiven her latest effort as she was drawn on the wrong side at Doncaster, as an added bonus as the Handicapper has dropped her 3lbs for that effort. If she can re-produce her effort behind Wondrous Story at Salisbury, she could prove to be well treated.
