The record of Dubai Millennium as a sire will sadly be curtailed before we ever get the chance to judge how effect he would have been in this sphere, but his progeny that have raced so far are beginning to really catch the eye, so, with that in mind, Rajwa is selected to expand on the seasonal haul for Godolphin's juveniles; possibly at the main expense of Councellor, who is going the right way, and Toshi, a very interesting newcomer from the Mark Johnston yard. Others to monitor in the betting include: One Putra, who hails from a family that Michael Jarvis knows very well and races will surely be found for this half-brother to Rondelet, who came into his own over further as three-year-old. Grigorovitch is another that makes some appeal on pedigree and, as his trainer Barry Hills does well with his younger horses at this meeting, he is one to have a serious think about if supported. Expensive purchase Toshi can also be expected to prefer a longer trip in time but, as his dam made a winning debut as a 2-y-o, a bold bid could be on the cards today. However, Godolphin have carried all before them in recent weeks in races like this and, as Rajwa is half-brother to a number of useful performers at six furlongs, he has enough of an edge, on paper at least, to get the vote this afternoon.
