In depth
Verdict
LONE EAGLE just failed to catch Recovery Run, rated 80, at Sandown on his debut. That looks strong enough form to see him off the mark if handling the softer going and Martyn Meade’s colt gets the vote. Zakaria also debuted at Sandown with a moderate fourth but looks a likely improver ahead of Golden Crusader and Oman. Clay is a half-brother to a Listed winner in Australia and preferred to In The Breeze of the newcomers.
