Verdict

Empress Josephine beat the subsequent Chantilly winner Joan Of Arc when springing a surprise in the Irish 1000 Guineas and she was too keen when down the field in the Coronation Stakes at Ascot next time. But she is having a first try over this trip whereas AUDARYA proved herself a genuine Group 1 performer over 1m2f in the autumn and did nothing wrong when runner-up to Love on her reappearance in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes. Soft going is ideal and she can take care of the admirably-tough Lady Bowthorpe, who is another having a first try at this longer distance. After flopping in the Oaks, Zeyaadah bounced back to form when beating Technique in a Group 3 at Newcastle and she remains unexposed.
