Verdict

Goodwood's opening race of the season can go to Ajigolo, with Red Clubs, Right Again, Storm On The Run, Don Peter and Tryandstopme all rating a mention. There is a mixture of stamina and speed on the dam's side of Ajigolo's pedigree but, given that his in-form trainer has elected to run him here, he should capable of putting in a good show on his debut. The Barry Hills-trained Red Clubs is sure to have learned a lot from his Newmarket debut, and is another to consider, while Right Again is related to winners and should be monitored in the betting. Richard Hannon's 42,000 guineas purchase, Storm On The Run, is another to consider, while Tryandstopme is closely matched with Don Peter on their runs behind Grimes Faith, who has run pretty well in a Conditions event since, at Lingfield last time on the Polytrack. Once again, then, watch the betting closely but, without that we will side with Ajigolo.
