Verdict
VULTAN, rated 90 on the Flat, attempted to make all at Navan and was only headed at the last. He had Luke Short, who had run a cracking race at the Curragh a few days earlier, six lengths back in third and should be up to winning this. Marvel De Cerisy could prove the fly in the ointment as he made all for an impressive victory on the point-to-point course at Tipperary and has joined Henry De Bromhead. The remainder look as though they are playing for places though Hardy Bloke was expected to do better at Listowel last week.
