Verdict

GARRAI PHAIDIN may have been fortunate to win at Thurles as a rival fell when challenging at the last. His jumping also leaves something to be desired but he's a very strong galloper and if getting round in one piece can complete a double. Fr Humphrey landed a handicap at Punchestown last May and reappeared in November to score again from a 7lb higher mark. A bad mistake put paid to his chances of a hat-trick at Leopardstown last month and it wouldn't take much for him to regain the winning thread. Change The Rules has shown nothing in three starts over fences but has done better over hurdles and makes his handicap debut from a lowly mark. Mount Brandon ran so well when runner-up at Punchestown on New Year's Eve that he started a short-priced favourite to go one better at Naas a couple of weeks later but was very disappointing. He's better than that and can't get much lower in the ratings.
