Verdict

GROTESQUE went for 85,000 euros after landing the odds on his debut between the flags at Tinahely last March and didn't reappear until December when narrowly beaten by Bacardys in a Leopardstown bumper. He looks a smart prospect and looks another winner for Jamie Codd. Blast Of Koeman ran well over hurdles at Punchestown in January and may have found the ground too testing when reverting to a bumper at Leopardstown. Rapid Fritz was beaten a long way into third at Clonmel and will need to do better and There You Go should do better when tackling a set of hurdles.
