In depth

Verdict

Tayyab, Palmerin and the veteran San Antonio make the shortlist here with TAYYAB the selection. San Antonio is still running with great credit at the age of eight, but it is worth noting that his recent wins have come on a testing surface, and that he has been placed but not won in 8 previous attempts on the all-weather. Palmerin has not won since landing a Sandown handicap in July and he is still racing off a 5lb higher mark. He was second last time but may need to come down further to win. Tayyab was racing for only the second time in his career when making a winning debut in this country at Wolverhampton. Sure to have learned from the experience, Tayyab is taken to score again.
