Verdict
The opening race in the history of Great Leighs can go to the bang-in-form John Gosden with Pixie's Blue, while Temple Of Thebes looks the obvious danger. The selection ran some decent races in defeat last year before being put away after her handicap debut at Windsor in August. The break will have done her good, she is drawn on the rail here, her yard is flying and she is also officially the top rated runner so we will take her to score. Temple Of Thebes has put in a couple of good efforts when seen out last year but she had a tendency to throw then away by hanging. Unless this has been overcome at home she is again vulnerable from a wide enough draw. Nice Dream can improve for a recent Doncaster spin and drops back in trip, while the best form of Mollyatti gives her a decent chance if she is straight enough to reproduce it first time up, and with her yard also going well that is a distinct possibility. Sue's Hawk and Amicable Terms need to show plenty of improvement and newcomer Little Cee doesn't look the best-bred filly that David Elsworth has ever trained, so we'll take Pixie's Blue to get us off to a Great Leighs start.
