There are seven previous course and distance winners in this including the in-form Smeaton, who goes for the hat-trick raised a further 5lb. SPIRIT OF SARWAN stayed on strongly once getting a second wind at Beverley. That run will have blown away any cobwebs and Stef Keniry’s gelding is one of the more likely winners of this finale with Harrison Shaw taking off 3lb. Granite City Doc was below par last time at Pontefract but it would be no surprise to see him bounce back here. Antico Lady and My Ukulele are also worth a second look.
