      Verdict

      Lightening Company got up close home to score over 7f at Carlisle, with Velco's Boy behind, and dropping back in trip may not be ideal. Bannow led for a long way on his reappearance at Doncaster in April and normal progress can see him in contention but Cooperation was a bit disappointing at Southwell last time. GENERAL SAGO finished just behind the latter when they occupied the places behind the odds-on Spycatcher at Pontefract. He was engaged in the 6.55 at Ripon last night but has more scope than his main rival and can reverse the places and take this.
