Verdict

CLANSMAN (NAP) turns up in search of the hat-trick and the booking of Daniel Tudhope for Liam Bailey takes the eye. The Nathaniel gelding battled on well to land an amateur riders' handicap at Doncaster and will be well suited to this mile and a half on ground with cut. He still looks to be progressing and gets the nod. Where's Jeff ran a cracker on his seasonal return at Beverley when just inched out and also makes appeal. First-time cheekpieces are applied and a good run is expected, although the feeling persists that he's better at a furlong or two shorter. Don't Look Back found a mile too sharp last time and is respected off topweight back up in trip, whilst Baez will be all the better for a first run of the year and remains open to improvement on just a second start for this yard.
