Verdict

Majestic Roi makes the journey up to Scotland with leading claims, and can account for No Surprises, Cassies Choice and Adaptation. Majestic Roi was sent off favourite on her Goodwood debut and showed good early pace before being found out by the soft ground. A half-sister to five winners, she has continued to work well and did a nice piece of work with three stablemates at West Ilsley on Tuesday. Connections were going to go for a race at Newbury on Saturday but obviously feel that there are easier pickings to be had here and she should put that disappointing introduction behind her on this faster ground. Eoghan O'Neill is yet to make the same impact that he did with last year's crop of juveniles but No Surprises has been well entered up and should give a good account, while Cassies Choice is bred to appreciate a longer trip in time and is another to note. Adaptation cost 18,000gns which is cheap compared to some of Mark Johnston's other youngsters, but with the Middleham stable now back in form, she too must not under-estimated. The one to be on though is Majestic Roi.
