Verdict
Baylaw Star should finally gain compensation for a string of placed efforts although Amber Legend and Courant D'Air have claims. The TCK Racing Partnership seem to have endured a rotten run of luck as their charge has narrowly gone down twice by minimal margins to smart recruits. The colt's beating of Great Scott reads well in the context of this race and we will take our chances here. Amber Legend hails from a very much in-form yard. She didn't seem to get home over six furlongs at Haydock Park and she is of interest now that she is in receipt of lumps of weight. Courant D'Air ran green in a maiden here and is potentially open to improvement. Of the remainder, Lady Lucia makes some appeal. She took part in a Newmarket maiden won by the very useful Menhoubah and the form of that race was upheld by Sky Galaxy's victory on Tuesday.
