      Verdict

      Global Spirit and Mr Orange complicate matters as both were due to race at Thirsk last night. The former won over track and trip last month but AIR RAID was successful here last week. The latter romped home by four lengths on his second outing after wind surgery and a 5lb penalty may not be enough to anchor him in this. Cale Lane and Final Go failed to figure in the same race at Carlisle last time though the latter will appreciate any further rain, a comment that also applies to the returning Yes You.
