        Verdict

        A trappy opener for punters. The weights are headed by Whistling Dixie, who appears in good heart at the moment and despite shouldering top-weight, she should go well on her favoured track and surface. Achilles Sun has performed creditably in claimers but may struggle in handicap company today. Shaffishayes could be the one to be on here. Racing off a feather weight, the ten-year-old isn't getting any younger but looks to be well treated at the moment by the handicapper. Any interest in the market in Nautical Star, who hails from an in-form yard, would be worth following.
