Verdict
Coolbythepool is taken to bounce back to form in this interesting handicap to get the better of Web Perfections and Bally Hall. It was thought the softening of the ground counted against the selection last time out at Goodwood added to the fact he suffered interference in a roughly ridden race. All his best form previously had come on fast ground and with conditions to suit he could be a front-runner who will be hard to peg back. Web Perceptions arguably has better racecourse form than the selection and won a valuable handicap at Redcar last month. Not particularly suited to a step up in trip last time out this extended mile and a half should be more to his liking and he can give the selection most to do. Bally Hall had been showing a progressive profile until disappointing on ground too firm for him last time out. With rain not forecast he may once again struggle on the ultra-fast surface. Coolbythepool looks to be the call but if he has an off day then Web Perceptions could take advantage.
