Jean Baptiste won over a longer trip at Chester last time while Solar Joe is due to be raised 9lb for winning easily at Pontefract though carries only a 5lb penalty today. But the latter had earlier finished behind runner-up PISANELLO over today’s trip at York and David O’Meara’s charge should go close if reproducing that effort. Dragons Will Rise ran well at Ripon and has an apprentice’s allowance helping his cause while Alpine Sierra was beaten by Tommy G at Musselburgh before winning over a shorter trip here and represents last year’s winning yard.
