Verdict
Many would have chances on their best form in a wide open finale, but Double Ransom, Oscar Pepper and Kirkham Abbey look to be the principles with Double Ransom given the narrow vote. The selection ran well here last time when just beaten by Wahoo Sam. He is in great heart at present and with this slightly faster surface not expected to pose too many problems this course and distance winner is taken to score. Oscar Pepper ran well behind Parisian Playboy at Redcar last time, but all his best form has come on that track and he is passed over on this occasion. Kirkham Abbey is a consistent sort but he is a little high in the weights at present and is probably best watched until he gets some respite from the handicapper. Of the remainder,Ace Coming was a beaten favourite on this track last time and could be capable of making amends here, but for the winner we return to Double Ransom.
