An interesting contest where we will take a chance on URBAN POET to win on debut, while Proud Times, Acquavella and Jeunopse are respected. The American-bred selection cost a huge amount as a foal and should be well suited by this test of stamina. He is related to multiple middle distance winners in the States, should not be found wanting for fitness and so we will chance him. Stablemate and fellow debutant Clientele did not cost nearly as much, but nonetheless his price tag increased at two, which is usually a very good sign. He should stay this far and although appearing to be the yard's second string he can also go very well. Proud Times ran well in three maidens before disappointing at Redcar last time but there have to be doubts about his stamina over this longer trip. Jeunopse had just under two lengths to spare over Acquavella off level weights here last weekend and they meet on the same terms here. That was the debut for Richard Fahey's runner, who may be able to turn the tables if improving for the outing. Little else makes appeal and Urban Poet is the suggestion.
