In depth

Verdict

Four recent winners to consider but JAY KAY makes most appeal. Karl Burke's charge landed a double at Ayr with Monday's clear cut victory and a hat-trick looks on the cards. Riponian has claims on last month's course and distance success given he beat the re-opposing Penelope Pitstop and Mount Cheiron on that occasion while Poor Duke took advantage of a tumble down the weights when scoring at 25/1 at Leicester. But the latter has an 11lb hike to contend with while Uncle Brit has been raised only 2lb for his win in soft ground at Carlisle and could go well again.
