      Verdict

Well beaten in the Wokingham at Ascot on his reappearance, AIR RAID won last year’s renewal of this with 2018 winner George Bowen, Admirality and Teruntum Star all finishing behind. Jedd O’Keefe’s charge is only 2lb higher today and has won on all three previous visits to this venue. George Bowen could make another bold bid having gone close at Pontefract recently while Cold Stare is back on a winning mark and just missed out over 7f at Haydock last time. He’s fitted with additional headgear today while soft ground looked a legitimate excuse for Meraas running below par at Newmarket last week and he’s less exposed than stablemate Monoski. Music Society won three times last year and will be sharper for a recent comeback.
