    Verdict

The Haggas yard has an impressive strike rate with the few runners is sends to this track and Convict, fitted with headgear today, may well reverse last month’s running at Ascot with Subjectivist. The latter has since placed at Haydock and is preferred to stablemate Tulip Fields though Tritonic comes out best at the weights in this Listed event and steps up in trip having gone close in a decent handicap at Ascot on his reappearance. But Kevin Ryan could have found an easier opportunity for last month’s Thirsk maiden winner ARROW OF GOLD (NAP), who beat a subsequent winner on his debut, and the half-brother to Golden Horn may well prove competitive this level.
