Verdict
A race that is equally bereft of consistency as it is of numbers and Lazzaz, who has finished in the frame in her last four outings, is taken to be too strong for Howards Dream and Necktar Vally - with East Cape appealing as the best of the rest. Lazzaz relishes a true test of stamina and is likely to set a fair old pace if she runs her usual race. However, she has stronger claims of lasting home in this company than she has held for a while and she can finally add to her tally if the experienced John Carroll can ensure that she keeps enough in reserve to hold on at the finish.
