Verdict

Although not that well suited by the race conditions here, Kings College Boy can land his ninth victory here. Twice a winner in June and placed twice over course and distance subsequently, Richard Fahey's eight year-old raced far too keenly for his own good last time but with at least two front-runners in the race, it should be fast and furious right from the outset. The top-rated horse in the race is Harry Up. He has not won on the turf since 2003 while it remains to be seen whether conditions will be quick enough. Fire Up The Band put up a solid performance behind the 71-rated Highland Warrior at Musselburgh recently but the proximity of Valient Romeo casts doubts over the worth of the form. Howards Tipple holds Luloah on their clash over course and distance at the beginning of July but may struggle with the higher rated horses here. Kings College Boy can land this claimer.
