Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Splash The Cash can land his first victory of the season here where Ride A White Swan and Fern House could well emerge as the biggest threats. Yet to get his head in front in 17 outings, Kevin Ryan's gelding found just Diminuto too good at Wolverhampton last time and should be able to exploit his current mark given that he has gone quite close off higher marks. Ride A White Swan drops back to six furlongs here having finished runner-up last time on his debut for the Derek Shaw yard. That should aid his cause in opening his account while at the foot of the weights Fern House warrants consideration even though he is inconsistent. The exposed Obe One and Oeuf A La Neige are others who make the shortlist but in what is a very difficult finale, Splash The Cash is selected.
