    Verdict

Mick Easterby sets a poser by saddling both Soto and The History Man with preference among the duo for the former ahead of recent maiden winner The Salwick Flyer. The last mentioned appreciated the cut in the ground when finally opening his account at Catterick but he may struggle back in a handicap today. Memphis Man was not beaten far at Sandown last time and has to be respected, while Flylowflylong looks to be running into some form. Woodwee is entitled to be thereabouts again but may once more have to settle for a minor role and preference is for Soto, who has come back to form recently and has solid claims provided that there is no further rain.
