        Verdict

        Sawwaah, Cherished Number and Royal Lustre are three against the field in this tricky opener and the vote is given to Sawwaah. The selection is a course and distance winner who was doing all his best work at the finish last time here when narrowly failing to get-up to beat Cherished Number. If he is ridden a little closer to the pace today then he should be capable of reversing the placings with that rival with the slight step-up in trip also in his favour. Cherished Number has since disappointed in a handicap here, and although he is entitled to go close, we think he will have to settle for a minor role today. Royal Lustre has got to be considered at this level but the suspicion is that he is better over a longer trip and for that reason we are quite happy to take him on. Dark Charm looks to be in decline but he has run well here in the past and on that occasion the cheek -pieces were applied. They are on once again today and he is worth noting in the market. However, for the winner we will stick with Sawwaah.
