In depth
Verdict
Alan Swinbank's Hail Bold Chief has been running consistently well in recent outings and is bound to be popular with backers after those runs but the son of Dynaformer is probably better over slightly longer than a mile and it may be worth siding with Tim Easterby's HADES. The son of Antonius Pius has had just the three runs to qualify for a handicap so far and, with improvement anticipated for the step up to a mile from seven furlongs, he looks worth siding with off a mark of just 60. Julie Camacho's Dandarrell has shown gradual improvement but probably needs some help from the handicapper, while Mark Johnston's Cherry Bee faces no easy task giving weight away all round. Jim Goldie's North Central has been running well in handicaps and claimers of late and should be thereabouts again but preference is for Hades.
