    Verdict

The William Haggas-trained UP AT LAST probably did not beat a great deal when landing a 17 runner handicap at Chepstow earlier this month but that was his first start in the grade and he won with plenty in hand so is taken to defy the 8lb rise for that victory. Michael Dods has his string in better form now so Mottley Crewe has to be considered but he seems a shade high in the weights having been raised 5lb since being beaten into third at Newcastle last time. Peter Monteith's Monte Mayor One has been running creditably of late and makes more appeal than Mick Channon's Vilnius, who is proving to be hard to win with. Ayr winner Ya Boy Sir would have claims if the rain arrived but a better bet looks to be Up At Last.
